Design
When Susan presented the drawings, Barb and Dan could clearly see the concepts they had discussed.
To improve the overall flow of their home, Susan included angled cabinets to blend the kitchen into the dining room. A high counter-top replaced the kitchen table's function and provided a pleasing transition from dining room to kitchen while shielding the kitchen sink from view.
Each cabinet was selected for maximum efficiency and organization. Barb especially liked the pull-out cabinets for pots and pans adjacent to the stove. With the additional cabinetry, less-frequently used items could be brought out from storage.
The design also created an invisible triangle between the appliances and sink for efficient cooking.
As the couple asked questions and made suggestions, Susan revised the plans so they could visualize and consider each change.
"I'm not good at imagining how things will look," says Barb. "To see it in the plan was a tremendous help in making decisions and being sure that we would like the end result."
Choosing the
right products was much easier.
